Perhaps the most famous of all is The Green Monkey - an ultra-exclusive 72 par, 7343-yard golf course designed by Tom Fazio. Fun and social, the Summer Sports Camp for children aged 7-16 is running between a number of different date bands for 2017: 27 May – 03 June, 22 – 29 July and 19 – 26 August and 18 – 25 November. A wide range of activities are on offer, including golf, water-skiing, tennis, 5-a-side soccer and beach volleyball, with mocktail parties and movie nights for teenagers finishing off the entertainment. In late February or early March every year, the Barbados Gold Cup (or Sandy Lane Gold Cup as it’s known for its sponsor) takes place at the Garrison Savannah Racetrack in Bridgetown.
