This privately owned sanctuary offers its visitors a stay that is unapologetically back-to-nature; the island is rumoured to have buried treasure hidden somewhere within its 375 acres of lush tropical forests. The pace is unhurried enabling guests to do as much or as little as they wish; a digital detox is encouraged with a lack of TVs and phone signal. Owners Kathy and Micky Mason are committed to supporting conservation resulting in indigenous wildlife that serves to emphasise the beauty around you. Some of the finest cuisine in the Seychelles is also on offer; made from ingredients sourced from their own farm. This exclusive private retreat also features a bar, lounge, wine cellar and the numerous deserted white sand beaches and enticing shallow lagoons offer unrivalled sun-bathing, swimming and snorkelling opportunities. All of the air-conditioned, individual cottages are hidden away amidst the casuarina and coconut trees on either side of the main house and offer en suite open plan bathrooms with outdoor showers in private garden courtyards. The Beach Villa features an extensive outdoor living area with plunge pool. Affiliated to the resort is a PADI-certified dive centre and deep-sea fishing charters can be easily arranged, whilst massages are available in the privacy of your cottage.
Located just south of the equator the Seychelles experiences a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 24°C and 32°C making it the perfect destination year round. May to September the cooling southeast tradewinds blow, bringing livelier seas and the possibility of seaweed. October to April bring the warm northwest tradewinds which sees an increase in temperatures and humidity. All but the southernmost islands fall outside the cyclone belt with January and February being the wettest months – rainfall is in short sharp intervals.
