Resort life centres around the village of Fiss, a traditional picture-postcard Tyrolean enclave where families are made welcome and access to winter sports facilities is second to none. Fiss shares a 212km ski area with the neighbouring villages of Serfaus and Ladis. As well as good nursery slopes, the high snow-sure slopes such as the 10km Frommes red piste are absolutely perfect for intermediates while experts can tackle runs like the Kamikaze and Zwölfer-Sportiv. There's a dedicated carving run, numerous terrain parks, two race courses and a skimovie run for a chance to capture and analyse your descent. Kids will adore Berta's Kinderland ski park with its carousels and conveyor belts. 'Feelgood' rest stops dot the slopes for those more laid-back moments.
