On a hillside by the southern shores of the lake, Pumulani comprises private, grass-roofed villas, each individually styled with spacious sitting areas and a deck from which to drink in the mesmerising lake views. A go-as-you-please attitude enables guests to simply relax in the tranquil surroundings which are rich in bird life or enjoy the multitude of facilities - meals being taken either in the restaurant or on the deck. Witness the spectacular sunsets from the swimming pool or the upper terrace, or set off from the beach in a locally-crafted wooden boat for a sundowner sail.
Malawi’s climate is sub-tropical, with the dry season from May to November when days are warm and nights are cooler. Expect rains between December and March when hotels may close. The best months for diving are from June to December, when the visibility is clearest. May to August can be windier on the lake.
