An oasis of relaxation and tranquillity seductively positioned on its own eighteen acre peninsula. Cottages and suites, decorated in a casually elegant Caribbean style with bold splashes of colour, are scattered amongst lush gardens vibrant with bougainvillaea, hibiscus and palm trees. The resort’s spacious Signature Suites, including the oceanfront Admiral Suite and the Serenity Suite, offer elegant custom interiors and an array of additional amenities. Relaxed evenings begin in the Spa My Blend by Clarins or stylish Indigo on the Beach and culminate in a fine dining experience at Bartolomeo. Overlooking the beach is Indigo, an alfresco venue where the lunchtime menu regularly features fresh, grilled lobster. Leisure pursuits encompass watersports, floodlit tennis, a fitness centre and supervised children’s activities. Relaxation centres around the sophisticated Spa My Blend by Clarins, two pools and two beaches, one of which provides a full service on the reef-protected bay.
Marking 30 years of impeccable service, Le Guanahani has completed a phenomenal US$40 million revamp with the help of David M. Schwarz Architects, Luis Pons Design Lab and Pentagram. The new amenities include 67 guest cottages in bright hues of turquoise, yellow and lavender and spacious new suites in a characteristic West Indian style. The refurbishment, says Pons, ''reflects St. Barth and the experience of Le Guanahani as a lived-in story of simple pleasures, maps of life, and memories of happy times and magical days that drift serenely from one to the next." Various new offerings have also been introduced, including interactive holistic health and fitness retreats with leading international experts and wildlife-oriented educational activities for children, families and groups.
