Whether a few hours or a few days, there can be little else as exhilarating as cruising amongst the picture postcard islands of the Maldives. On Four Seasons Explorer, a triple-deck catamaran that holds just twenty two guests, choose from three, four and seven day journeys between the garden island of Kuda Huraa and the hideaway of Landaa Giraavaru visiting secluded spots, isolated reefs, virgin dive sites and remote village communities. The spacious state rooms come with en-suite bathroom, private bar and air conditioning, whilst the palatial Explorer Suite offers panoramic views. Dining is in the air-conditioned dining room, or its alfresco area; lunch and dinner menus change daily, always prepared with the freshest of ingredients and complemented by an extensive wine list. Venture out from the vessel in a dhoni for some bottom line fishing, or even from the back of the vessel each night. Dive or snorkel the tranquil waters, enjoy gourmet lunch on a pristine beach or simply relax in the shade of a coconut palm. A resident spa therapist will take care of your massage needs, either on the private upper deck or on a secluded beach.
When booking your Four Seasons Explorer experience, you can look forward to full board meals prepared with the freshest of ingredients paired with complimentary wines, hot and non-alcoholic beverages, transfers (speedboat or seaplane to and from the Four Seasons Explorer), and fresh fruit in your room daily. Activities include windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing and fishing, as well as fish talks and snorkelling excursions with the on-board Marine Biologist, while island hopping and cultural presentations will also be offered. Divers can expect three dives daily, including diving equipment rental and organised recreational activities.
The Maldives has a hot, tropical climate with sunshine all year round. The most popular months to visit are between November and April during the north-east monsoon when it is dry with very little wind. Whilst there may be rain during some of the summer months, with ever-changing weather patterns and excellent offers, this is becoming an increasingly popular time to travel.
