Guarding the entrance to beautiful Saleh Bay is the resort of Amanwana with its luxurious tented suites – all set under the canopy of monsoon forest. Bordering a scenic path, leading to an open-air pavilion , the air-conditioned suites offer a high level of comfort. Guests will not lack of space in the large and elegant rooms, nor for light – provided by the huge banks of windows. In the open-air dining room, guests can savour excellent Asian and Western fare served under a soaring bamboo roof. Relax with a soothing massage under shady tamarind trees, or take a cooling dip in the enticing fresh-water pool. Bali and Lombok have a hot, tropical climate year round, with May to September being the most popular months to visit when there is less humidity. Bintan Island is best visited during the dry season, March to November.
