Laos is a country bristling with ancient tradition – a place of primeval palaces and forgotten temples. This is a spiritual destination where the monks collect food in their alms bowls each morning and seductive Laos textiles fill the shops. Take a sunset cruise along the Mekong past oxen pulling ploughs in the fields, and marvel at the Pha That Luang stupa in sleepy capital Vientiane. Alternatively, head upriver to the charming market town of Luang Prabang, former Royal capital and now a World Heritage listed site. Two distinctly individual countries, but each one invades the senses and the soul.
Introducing some of the best 5 star resorts in Laos.

Laos is best visited from November to February when there is least rainfall and temperatures are comfortable. However the hot season from March to May and the early rainy season from June to July is also a good time to visit northern Laos.
