The only New Zealand member of Design Hotels, the boutique-style DeBrett is just a short stroll from numerous restaurants, top name shops and the bustling ferry terminal to Waiheke Island and surrounding islands. Within its iconic facade every room has been individually designed and furnished with eclectic items of art and photography. Excellent local cuisine and wines are served in the Kitchen restaurant, the glass-roofed atrium giving the impression of outdoor dining. For after-dinner drinks, the Art Deco style Housebar is the in place.
New Zealand’s seasons are the opposite to those in the UK and less extreme. The North Island is sub-tropical whilst the South Island is temperate. The warmest and most popular months to visit are from December to April, although the shoulder seasons are also very pleasant and highly recommended.
