Chaing Mai & Golden Triangle Twin Centre Experience

The overwhelming raw beauty of Northern Thailand's Golden Triangle is simply too special to pass by. More than ever it has become an essential part of a Thailand itinerary, and the four hour scenic drive from Chiang Mai makes for the ideal dual-centre adventure. The cooler months of November to March are a good time to visit, escaping the heat of Bangkok and the beaches to plunge on elephant back into the Triangle's untamed jungle terrain. Trek the land of a million rice fields to visit unchanged hill villages, or slip off your shoes to meditate in the temples of Chiang Rai. Its bigger neighbour, Chiang Mai, is famed not only for its temples but its populous night bazaar, vintage boutiques and swish galleries. Enrol on a cookery course for an opportunity to accompany the chef on a trip.

Prices from £1285pp including 3 nights at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa with breakfast, 3 nights at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort on an all inclusive basis, private inter-resort transfers and airport transfers.

When is the best time to visit Thailand?

Thailand is generally very hot and humid with distinct dry and rainy seasons. The best time to visit most resorts, including Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, is from November to March, with the exception of Koh Samui which is best visited from December to August. However, with ever-changing weather patterns and excellent offers, it is well worth considering a holiday during the shoulder seasons
