The atmospheric cobbled centre of Kitzbühel abounds with cafés, exclusive shops and a casino; almost entirely car free, romantic horse drawn carriages complete the captivating scene. A spirited nightlife begins with cheerful après-ski at the foot of the slopes and continues into the early hours with a variety of venues to choose from. Nearby Jochberg is only a 10 minute drive away and offers ski-in, ski-out access to the Kitzbühel ski area. The resort is ideally suited to intermediates with long blue runs and a variety of enjoyable reds. Steeper reds and a handful of blacks, including the fearsome Hahnenkamm downill course, will entertain the experts as well as plenty of opportunities to explore off-piste. From the centre of town, the Hahnenkamm gondola offers fast access to the resorts major ski area. On the other side of town another gondola takes skiers to the smaller Kitzbüheler Horn sector where there are higher level nursery slopes for beginners to progress to. Jochberg also has a beginners area.
