The location on the five floors above the Mandalay Bay Resort is ideal for those who want direct access to gaming entertainment, whilst staying in a calmer casino-free environment. Smaller and more exclusive than other hotels on the Strip, the Art Deco-inspired guest rooms and suites proffer memorable views of Las Vegas Boulevard and the desert terrain beyond. Furnishings are high spec and understated — a far cry from typical Las Vegas hutzpa. Favourites from the wood-burning oven and homemade pastas are the highlight of the Italian fare at Veranda; the upscale Charlie Palmer Steak is famed for its steaks and seafood specialities. Summer can be extremely hot, whilst winters are generally milder. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit, with Las Vegas being dry for most of the year; however, thunderstorms can occur during the summer months.
