Set at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort, this convivial lodge is conveniently located to the Over Easy Transfer Gondola which links Spruce Peak to Mount Mansfield making it easy to explore the legendary trails of Vermont. The lodge features individually designed rooms and suites, most with a balcony, bedecked with fine art and equipped with a working fireplace. The rustic-romantic ambience continues in Solstice Restaurant where guests can feast on authentic New England cuisine featuring local produce such as organic heirloom grains, artisan cheeses and local meats. Vermonster burgers at Hourglass can be washed down with a local microbrew. A full-service spa and wellness centre with a heated outdoor pool provides relaxation. Golfers can perfect their swing at the nearby Stowe Country Club.
New England has four distinct seasons and is truly a year-round destination. In the summer season, days are sunny and warm, but the night air can sometimes be cooler in northern mountains and coastal regions. The fall months bring the best travelling weather where the air is crisp and cool. The winter season is snowy, with around 35 inches per year in the south of the region, whilst the upper mountains receive over 100 inches annually. Spring is mild but showers can be expected.
