Yangon - Twante Canal
Board the luxurious Orcaella in Yangon, enjoy a relaxing lunch as you begin your cruise to Bagan. Admire the mesmerising landscape as you cruise past small villages and farms, especially along the river bank of the Twante Canal; constructed in 1883 during British colonial rule, this major thoroughfare for cargo ships and local boats connects the Yangon River with the Ayeyarwady River. Enjoy a full afternoon of sailing, attend an introductory lecture from one the of the local experts on the Burmese way of life, history, nature and the many cultural landmarks that you will encounter on your journey. A welcome dinner is served on board, an opportunity to meet fellow guests.
