Mandalay
Take an optional tour of Mandalay before lunch on board. The afternoon is spent cruising along the Chindwin, the Ayeryarwady’s main tributary.

Sail to Monywa, with a stop at the market town of Yesagyo. After lunch, explore the Thanboddhay Pagoda, then onto the Bodithaung Pagoda which houses the largest Buddha statue in Myanmar.
Cruise from Monywa to Maukkdaw, learning about Burmese traditions from demonstrations and lectures.
Explore the town and teak buildings of Maukkdaw before cruising through the lush Chindwin gorges and jungle and past tiny riverside villages.
Continue to Mawleik, marvelling at the Chin Hills which provide a backdrop to the Indian Burma, a part of Myanmar only a handful of tourists will experience.
Sail to Sittaung though some of the most remote parts of the Chin Province.
Visit Homalin, a small town close to the Indian border, where the Uyu tributary flows into the main river and locals pan for gold.
Rise early and take a stroll through Homalin market, before a leisurely afternoon on board cruising towards Kani.
Visit the Mahar Minkyaung Monastery, a melange of European and Burmese architecture. Carry on to Kyidaung, a riverside village where you can observe local life.
Take an excursion to Po Win Taung caves where hundreds of Buddha sandstone chambers are carved into the hillside. Return to the ship and onward to Bagan in time for sunset.
Disembark after breakfast and choose to explore the temples of Bagan, Minanthu Village and Thone Zu Pagoda.
