The winding paths around Stanley Park are a cyclists dream, just as the city's seafood is a food connoisseur's delight. Collect your hire car, drive to Horseshoe Bay to board the ferry to Nanaimo. Continue the drive to Campbell River, transfer by water taxi to Sonora Resort for a 3 night stay. Pick up your rental vehicle and head for Horseshoe Bay Terminal for the ninety minute ferry ride to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Drive across the island to Tofino and the Wickaninnish Inn where you will spend five nights in one of the resort’s cosy rooms overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Here you may choose to do nothing more than relax in the spa or take a revitalising walk on Chesterman Beach, though many activities such as whale watching and hot spring tours can all be arranged nearby at Clayoquot Sound and the breathtaking Pacific Rim National Park.(RO)
