This week at Carrier... London’s Absolutely Magazines feature a review by Blur Bassist Alex James, as he discovers the delights of The Dolomites thanks to some family mountaineering in the Alps.
Alex travelled to Italy with Carrier earlier this year for a gourmet mountain break with the family. Hotel & Spa Rosa Alpina in San Cassiano made the ideal base to explore the area. With appetites sharpened by fresh air and exercise, the family indulged in a range of dining experiences from spectacular banquets and simple wholesome foods at which the Italians excel, to fine dining in the dual Michelin-starred Hubertus restaurant.
Along with his successful music career, Alex James is well known for being a family man; he is interested in organic foods and owns his own award-winning cheese brand.
