Regarded as the most exclusive camp in Hwange National Park, this exquisite safari retreat boasts a prime location near the famed Ngamo Plains, revered for its exceptional year-round game viewing. Nine ultra-luxe safari tents seamlessly bring together the spirit of Africa with a contemporary look and feel, overlooking the surrounding plain where a vast variety of wild animals roam. With few tents and guests on site, Linkwasha Camp is remarkably quiet and private, offering a personalised safari experience in the depths of Zimbabwe’s largest national park. An exhilarating game drive through the Ngamo Plains promises some of the best wildlife sightings in the summer, whereas a walk through the concession’s savannah grassland habitat offers a unique safari experience that is often difficult to find. On camp, an open pool area complete with multi-level decks and a cosy indoor lounge and library provide tranquil spaces to relax throughout the day.
The dry winter months between May and October are generally the best months for game viewing as the grass is lower, the vegetation less dense and the animals are driven to the waterholes to quench their thirst. Temperatures are hot during the day but can drop significantly at night, even falling below zero in Hwange. Daytime temperatures in October can be exceptionally high. The rainy season is usually from December to March, with beautiful, green landscapes. Victoria Falls are at their most dramatic from March to May, though the mist created by such a volume of water can obscure the views.
