Aman’s entrance into Montenegro has cemented the country’s coming of age as a go-to destination. The Aman Signature Restaurant serves international cuisine with regional accents; drinks and snacks on the Upper Terraces are accompanied by exhilarating views. In quintessential style, Aman have created lavish rooms featuring parquet floors, woven rugs and super comfortable leather furniture. From the Juliet balconies, views extend towards the pink sands of King’s Beach or over the gardens. Built on the site of a 15th Century fortified village, Aman have revived the spirit of this islet. The lack of any maps or signposts underpins the designer's intention for guests to feel refreshingly lost amongst the cobbled streets and courtyards. Every effort has been made to preserve historical authenticity. Details on the doors and windows have been maintained; even the lanterns hanging in the windows are a nod to the wives who would have once used them to welcome their fishermen husbands home from sea.
The coastal regions of both countries enjoy a typically Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers. The height of summer in July and August can be hot with moderate humidity. May, June and September are often the best times to visit. Winters on the coast are mild with increased rainfall.
