Opened in April 2017, Anantara Vilamoura combines a sophisticated artisan air with smartly appointed interiors and peaceful views over the gently undulating Oceânico Victoria golf course. A decidedly familial resort, adults can enjoy access to a dedicated adults only area branded by Veuve Clicquot Champagne, creating an ideal location in which to unwind while the kids are having the time of their lives. Regular shuttle buses take guests to the golf course or Puro Beach private beach concession, Vilamoura’s hot spot for dining and entertainment.
Southern Portugal including the Algarve enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. July and August are hot but temperatures are moderated by sea breezes. A good time to visit Portugal is May to June and September to October, where days are pleasantly warm and sunny. Madeira is a good year-round destination with temperatures remaining pleasantly mild over the winter months.
